Established for over 40 years, this regional civil engineering and utilities contractor has over 200 employees and a strong presence across the South West. With major contracts in place with long-standing clients, they are now set for a significant period of growth. The business focus is on creating a supportive environment for their people to develop their skills, progress, and have stable careers. Due to this expected growth, they are recruiting for a driven H&S professional to join their team.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Department and work closely with a small team. You will be responsible for ensuring H&S standards are upheld across civil engineering and utilities projects. This is a regional role that combines regular site travel and regular presence in Exeter and other offices.
This role would suit a driven H&S professional with a NEBOSH or equivalent qualification and experience in the construction, civil engineering or utilities sector.

The Role:
* Manage H&S functions across civils/utilities projects across Devon & Cornwall
* Regional travel to sites (2-3 days per week) & regular days in the offices
* Support a high-performing and collaborative safety team
* Contribute to continuous improvement, training, and development
The Person:
* NEBOSH qualified with experience in construction, utilities, or civils
* Strong working knowledge of SHEA principles and safety on-site
* Proactive, self-disciplined, and team-orientated
