The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable local building contractor for an experienced Project Coordinator to join their growing team in Guildford. With over 20 years of experience, our client delivers high-quality building services and specialises in extensions, new builds, renovations, and conversions. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a well-respected company known for its reliability, craftsmanship, and attention to detail across residential projects.
As Project Coordinator, you will support project delivery from start to finish, ensuring schedules, communication, and documentation are well-managed throughout the construction lifecycle. You will act as a vital link between the site teams, suppliers, and clients, helping to maintain progress and quality on every job.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resourcing
*
Coordinate communication between site teams, clients, and suppliers
*
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records
*
Support procurement and manage material logistics
*
Monitor progress and flag delays or issues early
*
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
*
Contribute to problem-solving and day-to-day coordination on-site
The ideal candidate will have/be:

Previous experience in a project coordination or administration role within construction
*
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
*
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
*
Able to work independently and as part of a team
*
Knowledge of residential construction processes is desirable
