Established in 2017, Educate Group is a leading recruitment agency for supply Teaching Assistants and Teachers covering North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire, and Wirral. We are rapidly growing and looking to expand our already successful team.
Educate provides high-quality teaching and classroom support staff for temporary and permanent positions in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors throughout North Wales, together with alternative education provision aimed at hard-to-reach learners, as well as supporting local authorities with home tutoring and an incredible Initial teacher training department.
Due to the current demand for supply staff in schools, we are looking for people who can offer full-time commitment to work Monday-Friday 8:45-15:15 or part-time, depending on your requirements.
This is on a supply basis, covering staff sickness at schools, short-term, and long-term.
Qualifications are not compulsory, as training can be given, but experience with children or in care work/youth work would be beneficial.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
* Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials.
* Assist individual students and manage student behaviour.
* Assess progress and provide feedback.
* Create a positive learning environment, providing support during activities.
* Help with administrative tasks.
* Follow school policies and procedures.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
* No qualifications are required, although high standards of literacy and numeracy are compulsory.
* Experience working with children or young people would be beneficial.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to manage behaviour effectively.
* A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
Registrations required to be a Teaching Assistant:
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate - there is a fee for this.
* You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
