Quality Control & Labelling Assistant (Night Shift)
Location: Feltham
Shift: Night shift, 00:00–08:00
Contract: Full-time | Permanent or 12-month FTC
Pay: £13.21 per hour
A long-established food manufacturing business is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Quality Control & Labelling Assistant to join its night shift production team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of food safety, quality, and compliance in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Carrying out quality checks across the production floor to ensure food safety and compliance
* Monitoring and recording temperatures (WIP, fridges, freezers, defrosting, probes)
* Managing sanitisation checks, chlorine levels, and test strip controls for high-risk products
* Overseeing cleaning schedules and hygiene standards
* Performing metal detection checks and product weight verification
* Maintaining detailed QA documentation and submitting weekly reports
* Tracking internal rejects, short-dated and expired stock
* Calibrating scales, probes, air temps, and dishwasher probes weekly
* Printing, managing, and changing over product labels throughout the shift
* Maintaining label printers, coordinating repairs, and managing label stock
* Escalating any food safety or hygiene issues immediately
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in quality control or food production (food manufacturing preferred)
* Solid understanding of food safety standards and QA procedures
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills
* Confident working independently during night shifts
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Basic IT skills (MS Office)
* Food safety qualifications (HACCP, SQF, ServSafe, etc.) are a bonus
