About the Role
New vacancy for Plant Operator at LondonEnergy based at the EcoPark in Edmonton. In this role you will operate cranes, manage ash discharge, handle equipment, and notify the Shift Manager of any defects as they arise. This is a Monday‑Friday day shift position.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate logs and readings of all plant under your control and complete relevant check sheets.
* Proceed with all operations to ensure maximum throughput of waste and production of electricity.
* Monitor bunker stocks and crane operations when in auto‑control, and control cranes from CCR and crane cab as required.
* Act promptly on alarms, taking appropriate action in relation to emergency work.
* Record and log plant parameters, ensuring relevant check sheets are completed.
* Complete other roles within competence levels and organisation.
* Train others accordingly.
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping.
* Support a safety culture across the company.
Requirements
* Strong communication skills.
* Safety conscious.
* Ability to work at height during shifts.
* Health and safety report writing.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience operating cranes and auxiliary plant.
* Experience operating plant machinery ideal.
* Basic understanding of operational process and plant equipment.
