Puro Associates are working in partnership with a leading regional law firm to recruit an experienced Head of Commercial Property to lead and develop their thriving real estate department.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute solicitor who thrives on client engagement, team development, and the management of complex property transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Commercial Property department, overseeing a team of solicitors, fee earners, and support staff
* Drive business development, nurturing existing client relationships and attracting new commercial clients
* Oversee and advise on a wide range of property matters, including:
* Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
* Development site purchases and commercial refinancing
* Landlord and tenant work (retail, office, and industrial)
* Commercial leases, options, and overage agreements
* Manage performance, profitability, and workflow across the department
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (SRA, Lexcel, etc.)
* Work closely with the Partners to shape departmental strategy and support firm-wide growth plans
About You
* Qualified Solicitor with at least 8+ years? PQE in Commercial Property law
* Proven experience in leading or mentoring a team
* Strong technical expertise across a broad range of commercial property matters
* Excellent communicator and relationship builder with a commercial mindset
* Ambitious, collaborative, and passionate about business growth
