Overview
Womenswear Designer role at TRP Recruitment ltd. We’re looking for a talented Womenswear Designer across either Wovens or Jersey to join a highly successful fashion manufacturer, working with leading retailers across the UK. Based in London, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring your creativity and commercial awareness together to design fashion-forward, trend-led womenswear multiproduct collections.
Responsibilities
* Research, develop, and design across womenswear multi-product, identifying key seasonal shapes, fabrics, and details.
* Present trend research and design ideas directly to Buyers with confidence.
* Source new fabrics, trimmings, and techniques to keep collections fresh and relevant.
* Travel to customer appointments in the UK and abroad to present and develop ranges.
* Work with the Technical team on weekly fit sessions, contributing to new block development and silhouettes.
* Build strong relationships with factories, advising on direction, construction, key details, fabrics, and artworks.
* Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to deliver on deadlines and critical paths.
Qualifications
* A creative eye for trends, with the ability to translate them into commercial, wearable product.
* Confident using Adobe Illustrator and CAD to bring ideas to life.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* A proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience as a womenswear designer working in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of fabrications and garment construction.
