Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – Foot and Ankle
We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper Limb or Shoulder & Elbow surgery to join a respected and high-performing surgical centre in Somerset. This modern, purpose-built facility is known for its clinical excellence, low infection rates, and outstanding patient satisfaction.
In this role, you will enjoy the freedom to focus on planned surgical care without the demands of trauma rotas or acute emergency admissions. You'll be supported by a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to shape and develop clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the orthopaedic team, you will perform:
* Primary knee arthroplasty
* Primary hip cemented & hybrid
* Primary hip uncemented
Minor orthopaedic surgery to include:
* Arthroscopy of the knee
* Carpal Tunnel Release and minor Hand Procedures
* Joint aspiration and/or injection and other Minor Musculoskeletal procedures
* Other minor procedures possibly including forefoot surgery
About You
You will hold:
* Full GMC Specialist Registration in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
* Demonstrable experience and operative competence in Lower Limb.
