Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join our founding team. This is an opportunity to help create a distinctive languages provision from the very beginning, enabling children to communicate, connect and express themselves through Spanish within an environment where every child is celebrated, known and encouraged to thrive.

Role overview
1. Design and deliver an engaging Modern Foreign Languages provision across French and Spanish from Early Years through to Key Stage 2
2. Create immersive and meaningful learning experiences that support communication, curiosity and cultural understanding
3. Support children to develop confidence in speaking, listening and expressing themselves in another language
4. Integrate language learning into wider curriculum experiences where appropriate through transdisciplinary approaches
5. Use practical, interactive and child-centred approaches to support language acquisition
6. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different ages, stages and learning needs across the primary phase
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a school environment where languages are visible, valued and actively used
Requirements
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
9. Strong understanding of primary Modern Foreign Languages teaching and language acquisition
10. Ability to teach both French and Spanish across the primary phase
11. Commitment to creating inclusive, relational and child-centred learning environments
12. Ability to create engaging and purposeful learning experiences that encourage confidence and communication
13. Confidence working collaboratively as part of a growing and values-led team
14. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeing
