Salary: £13.75 - £14.05 per hour plus tronc
As a Sous Chef at Prezzo Italian, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen - supporting the Head Chef in leading the team and delivering consistently high-quality Italian dishes.
You’ll help set the pace and the standard, keeping service smooth and the team motivated. From leading shifts to supporting daily operations, you’ll bring hands-on energy and attention to every part of the kitchen.
Most importantly, you’ll help build a positive, collaborative environment where team members feel supported—and where great food and memorable experiences come naturally.

Our Person - We are looking for someone who:
* Supports the Head Chef in running kitchen shifts and maintaining high standards.
* Ensures the team is clear on their tasks and provides guidance where needed.
* Leads by example, maintaining consistency in food preparation and service.
* Handles operational tasks such as stock management and kitchen cleanliness.
* Ensures every dish is prepared to perfection and meets brand standards.
* Steps in to resolve any kitchen-related service issues promptly.
* Works with the team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
* Helps train and develop kitchen staff to enhance their skills.
* Keeps the team motivated and working efficiently during service.
* Ensures strong communication between the kitchen and Front of House teams.
* Assists in managing stock levels, food safety, and hygiene standards.
* Ensures all health & safety procedures are followed.
* Works with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen efficiency and compliance.
Experience We Value
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to support a high-performing team.
* A passion for high-quality food and guest satisfaction.
* Ability to manage kitchen operations, focusing on efficiency and quality.
* Knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and stock control.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
* Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.
