Associate Healthcare Scientist in Reproductive Science
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly patient centred team at Salisbury Fertility Centre. A well‑established centre of 20 years, offering a full range of laboratory diagnostic and assisted conception techniques, including IVF, ICSI, microTESE, egg, sperm and embryo cryopreservation, with a large NHS Fertility Preservation program and active egg and embryo donation programs. Salisbury Fertility Centre also runs a patient embryo research program with Manchester University Hospital Trust and is a training centre for the national Scientist Training Programme, having successfully mentored 10 graduates within the scheme.

Main duties of the job
This part‑time Associate Reproductive Scientist role will work in collaboration with the Salisbury Fertility Centre (SFC) team to provide an assisted conception and fertility preservation service with exceptional patient centred care. The successful candidate will work within departmental policies and procedures and in line with the Trust's values and behaviours. You will provide leadership and direction in centre administrative procedures.
The post holder will perform a range of administrative, scientific and clinical activities for the provision of services licensed by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).

* Minimum academic requirement is 3 A levels including one or more Science subjects.
* Suitable practical laboratory experience with relevant and/or transferable skills.
* Good IT skills and knowledge of common computing packages for word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and databases.
* Previous experience working in a licensed fertility centre.
* Previous experience speaking with patients.
* Previous experience of performing semen analysis and/or aseptic technique.
