These posts are suitable for either an ODP or Nurse with experience in both anaesthetic and recovery areas. The posts are also suitable for students who are due to qualify this year who will hold an anaesthetic qualification.

The Anaesthetic and Recovery Team (AR team) provides emergency anaesthetic cover to:
* A&E emergency room
* Intensive care
* MRI & CT
* Intra‑ & Inter‑Hospital transfers.

Main Duties of the Job
Accountable within the theatre team to ensure that the standard of patient care is of a high level, quality being of prime importance. To adhere to and practise within the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Professional Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council standards. Ensure adherence to agreed Trust policies.
The position is primarily a theatre anaesthetic and recovery practitioner, although some rotation and flexibility will be required to meet service needs. The post-holder will be called upon, occasionally, to take charge of the unit/area. The post holder will be expected to participate in internal rotation, weekend, unsocial hours and on‑call duties.
The post holder will be part of a clinical team provided to ensure that clinical care of patients and others using the service receives an efficient and quality service. The post offers the opportunity to further develop clinical and non‑clinical skills within the team. They will also be encouraged to obtain and maintain ILS and PILS compliance. * Active Registration with HCPC as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) OR Active Registration with NMC as a Nurse (RGN) who has a nationally recognised anaesthetic qualification
