We're looking for...
An ambitious Head Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Levy on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As Head Chef, you will lead and inspire the kitchen brigade, ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional food quality, innovation, and presentation across all hospitality offerings at the racecourse. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and senior management to maintain the highest standards of culinary excellence and kitchen operations. Huntingdon racecourse is a jump racecourse that races from October - May, outside this time you will be a key part of the Newmarket culinary team helping to deliver our summer racing and music nights that run from April - October. Newmarket is the Hub of the Jockey club east region and being part of this great regional support network offers a wide range of culinary experiences, opportunities, recipe banks, food safety and allergen systems.

Head Chef - The role
Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
Identifying opportunities to improve our food service
Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported
Delivering our tasty food concepts to our customers
Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
Ordering food, looking after stock control and controlling food waste
Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
Managing budgets and successfully meeting financial targets
Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
Complying with Health & Safety regulations
