The role
As a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that Cavendish Nuclear complies with HSE regulations, as well as implementing policies and procedures to manage risks and hazards.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
1. Ensure Cavendish operates in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner
2. Manage risks across various operational areas
3. Implement effective policies and procedures to support safety and compliance
4. Conduct training and investigations to enhance awareness and accountability
5. Help protect employees, the public, and the environment, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Reading, Berkshire. This role will require occasional travel to Bristol and Newbury.
Essential experience of the HSE Advisor:
6. Previous experience of working as a HSE Advisor within a highly regulated environment
7. Audit and inspection experience
8. Experience of delivering training
9. Understanding construction or similar operational experience and understanding of CDM Regulation
Qualifications for the HSE Advisor:
10. NEBOSH general certificate or NEBOSH Construction certificate or NVQ equivalent
11. Membership of a technical community (IOSH)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
