Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of a thriving café and busy hospitality section, ensuring smooth functioning and high‑quality service delivery.
* Collaborate closely with the account manager, head chef, and client to maintain alignment with organisational goals and client expectations.
* Lead the development and implementation of a health‑focused food and beverage offering, keeping abreast of current trends and nutritional guidelines.
* Foster a culture of exceptional guest engagement, personally interacting with patrons to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
* Spearhead menu development initiatives, working alongside the head chef to create innovative, seasonal, and health‑conscious offerings.
* Conceptualise, plan and execute internal events from inception to delivery, ensuring seamless coordination across all departments.
* Establish and maintain a robust system for collecting, analysing and actioning guest feedback to continuously improve service quality.
* Manage and motivate a diverse team of staff, providing training, mentorship and performance evaluations to foster professional growth.
* Oversee financial aspects of the operation, including budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and licensing requirements.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the café and hospitality services, increasing visibility and attracting new clientele.
* Manage inventory and supply chain, negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective procurement of high‑quality ingredients and materials.
* Represent the establishment at industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships and stay informed about sector developments.
* Implement and oversee sustainability initiatives to minimise environmental impact and align with corporate social responsibility goals.
* Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with some evenings to cover internal events as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience commensurate with the role.
* A contagious passion for food and customer service.
* Enjoys managing, training and supporting a team.
* Financially astute, analytical and able to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance.
* Excellent delegation and influencing skills.
* Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast‑paced, multi‑faced creative environment and work well under pressure.
* Meticulous organisational abilities with high attention to detail.
* Concise and effective verbal and written communication.
* Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution‑oriented perspective.
* Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
