We are recruiting a Sous Chef to join a beautiful hotel and restaurant just four miles from Arundel. Set within the heart of the South Downs, this unique venue combines walled gardens, flint-and-timber charm, and its own vineyard, delivering a true plot-to-plate dining experience. You'll be working closely with the Head Chef in a busy, well-established kitchen, helping lead service and maintain consistently high standards across all sections. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up, easily commutable from Worthing.

Key Responsibilities
As a Sous Chef, you'll play a key leadership role within the kitchen brigade.
* Support the Head Chef in the smooth running of daily service
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
* Oversee food preparation, quality, and presentation standards
* Take responsibility for stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
* Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards
* Train and support junior members of the brigade
What we're looking for
We're seeking a confident and experienced chef ready to take the next step in their career.
* Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a busy kitchen
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to run service
* Passion for seasonal produce and high-quality cooking
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
