Joint Project Manager – Ship Lift Programme
This programme leads the delivery of critical upgrade and maintenance works for the client’s ship lift, a key facility supporting the UK’s submarine fleet.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, delivery, and completion of a complex engineering upgrade and maintenance programme.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and performance reporting.
* Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, including the MoD, Babcock Marine, specialist contractors, and site‑management teams.
* Provide project governance, progress updates, financial reporting, and risk management.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Ensure compliance with defence, health & safety, environmental, and security requirements.
* Support audits, assurance activities, and quality control processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience delivering complex engineering, infrastructure, or maintenance projects.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and project governance, including change control.
* Ability to operate effectively within a multi‑agency and highly regulated environment.
* Knowledge of defence, nuclear, infrastructure, or heavy engineering projects is highly desirable.
Training & Qualifications
* Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ, MSP, or equivalent).

The incumbent must hold a minimum SC clearance and be a sole UK national.
Working Arrangements
