Senior Electrical Estimator – South Wales
💰 £65,000 – £70,000 + Company Vehicle + Bonus
We’re currently partnered with a well-established and growing M&E contractor who are looking to bring in a Senior Electrical Estimator to strengthen their commercial function.
This is a key hire for the business, playing a lead role in securing high-value projects and supporting the continued growth of their electrical division across commercial and industrial sectors.
The Role:
* Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical estimates for projects ranging from £500k to multi-million-pound installations
* Take ownership of the full tender process from enquiry through to submission
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation in detail
* Produce comprehensive take-offs, cost plans, and pricing strategies
* Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
* Support and mentor junior estimators within the team
* Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
* Contribute to bid strategy, programme considerations, and overall project viability
* Attend pre- and post-tender meetings where required
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a Senior Electrical Estimator position within M&E / building services
* Strong track record of pricing and winning medium to large-scale projects
* Excellent technical knowledge of electrical installations and systems
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market rates
* Ability to lead tenders independently and work under pressure to deadlines
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
* Confident communicator, both internally and client-facing
