Here at Teaching Personnel we are on the look out for an organised, approachable and proactive School Administrator to join the busy office team at a secondary school. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to play a key part in the smooth running of the school.
About the Role:
As a School Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, providing a friendly and professional welcome. You will manage a range of administrative tasks, support teaching and leadership staff, and help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the school office.
Key Responsibilites:
* Greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed
* Answering incoming calls, handling queries, and directing messages to the relevant staff
* Managing pupil records and updating the school database accurately
* Assisting with attendance monitoring and reporting
* Preparing and distributing letters, emails and other school communications
* Supporting the organisation of school events, meetings, and trips
* Handling incoming and outgoing post, and maintaining office supplies
* Assisting with finance-related tasks such as processing orders and invoices (as required)
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of service
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in administration, ideally in an educational setting (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
* A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting
* Highly organised with great attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
* A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to build good relationships with students, staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
