CREDIT CONTROLLER – ON-SITE (TEMP OR PERM)

This is not a passive sales ledger role.
We're recruiting an experienced, confident Credit Controller for a well-established food distribution business based in Nottingham (NG8). The role is fully on-site and can be offered on either a permanent or temporary basis, depending on what suits the right individual.
You'll take full ownership of the credit control function, working as the sole Credit Controller within a small, supportive finance team.
THE ROLE
* Managing live customer accounts across a high-volume wholesale environment
* Proactively chasing overdue debt by phone and email
* Holding customers firmly to agreed payment terms
* Resolving payment queries and disputes efficiently
* Producing statements, reminders, and aged debt reports
* Maintaining accurate records of all debtor communications
* Working closely with the Finance Manager to protect cash flow
THE PERSON This role suits a proper credit controller — someone who is comfortable being firm, confident, and persistent when required.
