Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. The primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical and engineering challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.
This role offers the opportunity to showcase your engineering talents, apply your knowledge and skills, drive innovation, and connect racing lessons to production vehicles. You will collaborate cross-functionally to shape the future of motorsports.
What You’ll Do
* Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
* Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
* Evaluate and select components and technologies from external suppliers.
* Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
* Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and firmware/software integration.
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and stakeholder presentations.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organization and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in relevant fields.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Advanced skills in CAD and mechanical design.
