Salary: M1-UPS2 (£31,650-£47,338)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Lead Teacher - English
Key duties in addition to standard SEN Teaching role:
* To take lead responsibility for English working in consultation with the Reading and Phonics Lead
* To deliver engaging teaching and learning within KS2, 3 & 4 to pupils working at and below age related expectations allowing them to achieve qualifications and successful outcomes.
* To provide professional leadership of English and subject management to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.

Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
* PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
* At least 2 years Teaching Experience with a successful completion of ECT
* Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD and ASD
* Experience of working in a special school environment and with pupils with autism, ADHD as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
* Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs.
* To understand a formal and semi-formal curriculum.
* Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
