Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in following their care plans to meet individual needs and preferences.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
* A valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting clients.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.60 per hour
