Your Role and Responsibilities
As a CAD Technician, you’ll be an integral part of the Mechanical Electrical and Technology team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Producing accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using REVIT, Civils 3D, and Navisworks .
* Interpreting instructions from Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians to prepare, modify, and update MEICA layout drawings, GA’s, schematics, and installation details.
* Translating equipment details into 3D models and producing working drawings, including P&I diagrams and pipework layouts.
* Creating civil interface drawings and ensuring all designs align and integrate correctly with other engineering disciplines.
* Supporting the compilation of design deliverables such as P&IDs, instrument schedules, and design packs.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant quality and British standards.
* Collaborating with supply chain partners to incorporate vendor information into models and drawings.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* ONC / HNC in mechanical or process engineering.
* Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, ACC, or similar digital design tools.
* An understanding of UK water company frameworks (e.g., AMP programmes) and standards.
Working Conditions
Location: Salford
Hours: 40 hours per week - with some flexibility available!
