Some places just want machine operators.
We want skilled people who take pride in their work…
If you have ever worked around manufacturing, you will know the difference.
Anyone can press a button. Not everyone can produce a flawless finish.
In sheet polishing, the smallest details matter. Getting it right takes patience, consistency, and a trained eye. That is what we will teach you.
This is the kind of place where people stay.
Not because they have to, but because they are valued for what they bring. You will not be treated like a number on a rota. You will be trained to build a skill, and that skill will matter.
The Job
You will be working with high-spec metals, learning how to finish each sheet to the standard customers expect.
As you develop, you will learn:
How to run specialist sheet polishing machines properly
How to adjust settings depending on the material and finish required
How to produce consistent finishes, whether that is a high-gloss shine or a uniform grain
How to check your own work and correct anything that is not right
How to keep production moving without cutting corners
This is hands-on work. It takes focus. You will be supported, but you will also be expected to take responsibility for your work as you progress.
The Machines and Materials
Over time, you will be trained across:
Bright polishing machines such as Sillem, Autopullit, and Ronzani
Working with stainless steel, brass, aluminium, and copper
Producing high-gloss, mirror finishes on sheets from 2000 x 1000 up to 3000 x 1500
Dull polishing machines such as Grinding masters, Timesavers, and Imeas
Producing consistent grained finishes across the same size range
You are not expected to know this already.
You will learn it properly.
What We Are Looking For
You do not need previous polishing experience.
You do need:
A strong work ethic
Attention to detail
Pride in doing a job properly
Willingness to learn and improve
Reliability and consistency
If you have worked in manufacturing or engineering before, that will help.
If not, the right attitude matters more.
What You Will Get
£26,436.80 (Minimum wage start point)
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Full training and development
FLT, crane, and first aid training
Medical health plan
21 days holiday plus bank holidays
Discretionary bonus based on performance
Long service rewards
