Overview of the Role
After recent major water project successes, we have growing opportunities for technical project managers in our Water Consultancy Division across UK offices.
We work on a wide range of water sector projects including:
* Water treatment
* Water storage and transfers
* Wastewater recycling
* Industrial process water
* Desalination
* Irrigation
* Hydropower
* Flood defence
Projects cover all phases from feasibility studies through design, construction support and commissioning to handover. Clients include UK water companies, major contractors, governmental organisations and private companies.
What You Will Contribute To The Team
* Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects to time, quality and budget
* Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
* Contributing to project governance reviews
* Design and quality management of deliverables
* Commercial and contractual management
* Managing stakeholders and accounting for their influence and interests
* Contributing to the development of the project delivery team
Candidate Specification
This role will suit candidates with experience and interest in the following:
* Relevant technical degree, Chartered engineer or nearing chartership with membership of an appropriate professional body
Essential
* Project management, delivery and leadership experience
* Experience delivering large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, ideally in the water sector
* Working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams at various stages in the project lifecycle
* Undertaking studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design
* Interfacing and engaging with clients and other stakeholders
* Strong communication skills, including writing reports and presenting
* Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
* Understanding of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues
* Digital capability
* Commercial acumen and knowledge of project planning and controls
Desirable
* APM PMQ, MAPM or equivalent
* NEC accreditation
* Design and build experience
* Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations and responsibilities
