Working hours: Part-Time (22.5 hours a week, Monday to Wednesday) or Full-Time (37.5 hours a week) to be considered.

Job summary – What to expect:

As a Finance Administrator in our Finance team, you will be part of a team that is responsible for General Accounting for all entities supported by Global Business Services.This role involves stakeholders across the business, both within and beyond finance, in the US and EMEA, as well as engaging with third party service organizations and financial institutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Collate and submit intercompany recharges to CooperVision International Limited (CVIL) preparing billing notes as required.

2. Reconcile intercompany accounts with several subsidiaries, obtaining monthly confirmation of balances, responding to queries from counterparties and providing commentary of movement in balances.

3. Reconcile intercompany despatch statements, distributing to subsidiaries and resolving queries.

4. Prepare intercompany invoice/credit note requests for AP/AR to process.

5. Run netting batches and associated payment file generation for Oracle entities.

6. Creating shipment summaries for submission to Corporate.

7. Assisting with the preparation of journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
8. Monitoring timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations for all GBS-reported entities.
9. Provision of information on completion of SLA requirements and Balanced Scorecard Reporting
10. Completion of submissions to Office for National Statistics.
11. Assist with preparation of information requests and responding to queries from internal and external audit.
12. Complete ad-hoc requests and other duties as requested by the Financial Accountant.
13. Ensure compliance with CHQ and / or CooperCompanies accounting policies, as well as with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and the established internal control framework.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

14. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
15. Ability to work in a high pressure, high volume environment.
16. Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
17. Strong numeracy and verbal / written communication skills.
18. Ability to participate in a multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating environment.
19. Good analytic and problem-solving skills.
20. Basic accounting knowledge (double entry and account reconciliation).
21. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including but not limited to pivot tables and lookup functionality in Excel.
22. Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems desirable, but not essential.

Experience & Education:

Experience

23. Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative position working in a dynamic financial or accounts environment within a large multinational company or Shared Service environment, however this is not essential.
24. Able to work in a busy environment with a high volume of work. We are looking for someone who can prioritize tasks and is a strong team player who can effectively support their colleagues and stakeholders.

Education

25. Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Mathematics and English.
26. AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
27. Secondary language (French, German, Italian or Spanish) to a business / working knowledge level, desirable but not essential.
