The Company:
My client, a household name manufacturing business is looking for an Operation Manager to join their team in Telford. You will drive a positive and inclusive culture. You will be accountable for achieving key performance metrics, including safety, quality, and efficiency. As the operations manager, you will collaborate with management and peers to set goals, track progress, and make data-driven decisions. You're responsible for daily operations, ensuring their team meets objectives for safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will also spend time on the production floor to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Empowering team members through teamwork and on-the-job training
2. Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
3. Fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration
4. Developing and maintaining an effective organisation
5. Ensuring competent personnel in key roles
6. Implementing effective performance management and absence management
7. Participating in plant safety team programs
8. Implementing safe work practices
9. Identifying and addressing potential hazards
10. Following established procedures and guidelines
11. Implementing quality risk management processes
12. Conducting regular checks and audits
13. Identifying areas for improvement
14. Developing plans to address them
15. Implementing process improvements
16. Following GMP, HACCP guidelines, and housekeeping responsibilities
17. Implementing QRMP operating procedures
18. Participating in plant optimisation initiatives
19. Mentoring Continuous Improvement Lead and Maintenance Lead to identify improvements
20. Conducting annual plans for process improvement
21. Supporting maintenance planning
22. Conducting regular checks and audits
23. Maintaining accurate records
24. Participating in meetings to drive production and improvement goals
Requirements:
