Responsibilities
* Creation of CAD Models and Drawings : Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
* Design Deliverables : Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
* Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
* Project Support : Contributing to and supporting the entire project and product design cycle, from concept to construction and installation.
* Technical Support : Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases.
* Perform self-verification of work.
* Reporting of technical progress and issues to line management.
* Be aware of and ensure that safety, health and environmental requirements are implemented
* Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
* Change embodiment.
Qualifications
* The candidate is required to hold an NC / HNC or an equivalent qualification / experience in relatable discipline subject
* Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience
Essential skills
* Be proficient in the use of one or more parametric / spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environment
* Able to work to Engineering Design Standards
Desired skills
* Preferable T26 Experience
* FORAN.
* Windchill
* Familiarity with shipbuilding / ship repair terminology and practices
Experience
* Experience in Design processes and procedures specifically within detail design
* Working on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects / alternatively new build or major conversion packages)
* Experience in Mechanical, Piping or HVAC
* Relevant experience from other industries including, but not limited to, Oil & Gas, Process, Manufacturing, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Civil and Automotive
