HR and Admin Officer

About the Client

We are working exclusively with a client based in the Slough area who is looking for an experienced HR & Admin Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast paced and growing organisation, where you'll play a key role in supporting and guiding a small HR team. It's a great chance to make an impact within a business that's thriving in its sector.

What You'll Be Doing

HR duties:

1. Helping with all HR admin tasks across the employee lifecycle - recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and more

2. Offering advice on HR policies and best practice

3. Making sure the company stays compliant with HR laws and record-keeping

4. Working with outsourced HR consultants on employee relations and tricky issues

5. Handling employee questions and managing HR systems like PeopleHR and the Learning Management Platform

6. Taking care of contractor paperwork, payroll liaison, and pension scheme admin

Office duties:

7. Supporting the PA and Office Manager with day-to-day office tasks

8. Liaising with external providers like lawyers, insurance brokers, and health & safety under senior management's guidance

9. Acting as Data Protection Officer

10. Managing the company vehicle fleet

11. Booking visitors and managing access with external site providers

12. Helping with general office upkeep and supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks like purchase and sales ledger work

13. Holding keys, access cards, and company credit cards

14. Taking minutes occasionally and covering holidays when needed

What We're Looking For

15. Someone hands-on, flexible, and happy to help out wherever needed

16. Must be office-based (this isn't a hybrid role)

17. CIPD Level 3 qualified (Level 5 is a bonus)

18. At least 3 years' experience in office administration

19. Experience with finance processes (purchase/sales ledger) would be helpful

20. Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

21. Resilient and able to work well even when things aren't 100% clear

22. Caring and approachable with a good problem solving mindset
