Who you will be supporting

Hi, I’m supported by SeeAbility in my own home. I’m looking for calm, patient, and positive people to join my team. I love being active and spending time both in the community and at home. Some of my favourite things include zip wires, hydrotherapy, trampolining, walking, and relaxing with my iPad. If you enjoy fun, meaningful activities and making a difference every day, we might be a great match! I have autism, and while my behaviour can sometimes be particularly challenging, I’m looking for someone who can help me live an active, fulfilling life. If you’re physically fit, dependable, and enjoy helping others gain independence, I’d love to meet you!

Come be part of something truly rewarding. Let’s make every day count—together.

Essential Criteria

You will demonstrate exposure to the following areas of expertise:

* Autism and Learning Disabilities
* Behaviours that Challenge
* Positive Behaviour Support
* Eating Disorders or Nutritional Requirements, ideally ARFID
* Must have UK Drivers License

About You

Are you someone who genuinely enjoys making a difference in others’ lives? Do you have a calm, caring, and resilient nature that helps you thrive in challenging situations? If so, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for individuals who can stay calm under pressure, who are enthusiastic and take a proactive approach, and handle behaviours that others might find challenging. If you have a UK driving license and are comfortable driving automatic vehicles, you could be exactly who we’re looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Support Worker, you’ll be more than just their support – you’ll be a key part of someone’s journey towards living their best life. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

* Daily Care & Support: Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
* Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
* Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone can enjoy what they love doing.
* Respect & Dignity: Ensuring that the people we support, and their families are treated respectfully, with dignity, and equality.

Benefits

Why work for us? At SeeAbility, we value your growth and well-being as much as the support you provide. We offer:

* Comprehensive Training: Induction and ongoing training, including face-to-face and e-learning.
* Career Progression: Opportunities to achieve professional qualifications (Care Certificate, QCF levels 2-5), leadership development, and ongoing development discussions.
* Recognition & Rewards: Excellence awards and long service recognition.
* Work-Life Balance: Up to 36 days of holiday with long service, flexible working options, and time off for life events.
* Financial Benefits: Wagestream app, monthly bonus scheme, discounts, cashback, pension schemes, and more.
* Wellbeing Support: 24/7 employee assistance program, life assurance, and sick pay.
* Refer a Friend: £600 incentive (Support Workers to Deputy only).

SeeAbility is committed to safe and fair recruitment practices, safeguarding, and protecting those who we support. The following checks may be required prior to start: DBS disclosure (where appropriate), identity and right to work documentation, health declaration, and references. All vetting checks will be completed prior to offering a start date at SeeAbility’s expense.

SeeAbility is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all identities, including those from underrepresented groups and those with a disability or neurodivergent condition. We offer reasonable adjustments in recruitment and in the role to ensure a fair process and experience for all candidates.

In exceptional circumstances, exemptions under the Equality Act 2010 may apply where a genuine occupational requirement exists.
