Full Time – 45 Hours per Week (5 Days)
Are you an experienced childcare professional ready to lead, inspire and make a real difference? We are seeking a passionate and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our thriving day nursery and ensure the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding for our children.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the nursery, leading a dedicated team and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. You will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
Hours: 45 hours per week
Working pattern: 5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
Contract: Full time, permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the nursery team, providing support, supervision and professional development
* Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
* Maintain high standards of care, learning and development
* Oversee staffing, ratios, recruitment and performance management
* Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
* Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging nursery culture
Essential Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years (minimum)
* Proven experience in a senior or management role within an early years setting
* Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
* Experience preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections
* Paediatric First Aid qualification
* Experience with nursery management software
