Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring IT professional to join the organisation as an IT Apprentice. You will work closely with the IT Manager to support the day-to-day running, maintenance, and improvement of IT systems across multiple sites. The role will give you hands-on experience in IT support, hardware, software, cyber security, and customer service, while also completing a formal apprenticeship qualification.
You will act as a key point of contact for IT-related issues, helping colleagues resolve technical problems efficiently and professionally. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT who enjoys problem-solving, learning new technologies, and supporting others.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the IT Manager with the monitoring, maintenance, and ongoing development of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
2. Provide first-line IT support to staff across several sites, acting as the initial point of contact for technical issues and requests.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve common IT problems such as slow computer performance, printer and peripheral issues, login problems, and software errors.
