Role Overview
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist you will have the opportunity to undertake a leadership role in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the rehabilitation provided, and to be responsible for the supervision of junior staff and students. You will build networks and relationships across multiple sites and clinical teams, and embrace innovation and integrated working alongside other OT, physiotherapist and associate practitioner colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide goal‑focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.
* Deliver holistic assessments and interventions for the care group.
* Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate rehabilitation services.
* Supervise junior staff and students.
* Build networks and relationships across multiple sites and clinical teams.
* Commit to delivering excellence in care alongside other OTs, physiotherapists, associate practitioners and assistant practitioners.
* Travel across the North East Essex area using your own vehicle.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrable expertise in goal‑focused rehabilitation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience working in a variety of clinical settings, particularly community work.
* Strong self‑management skills and ability to prioritise caseload.
* Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
* Desirable: leadership experience in planning and evaluating rehabilitation programmes.
