Associate Director at Elevation Recruitment Group
Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Controller in Halifax on behalf of a fast-growing business that is set for continual growth over the next few years.
This is a fast-paced role that will form a crucial link between finance and the wider business. Producing the month-end results, whilst ensuring the board receives value-adding management reports which drive decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Complete responsibility & autonomy for the running of the finance department
2. Preparation of the monthly management accounts
3. Managing the finance team, ensuring teams goals & objectives are compatible and in line with the overall company objectives
4. Providing information to management to enable strategic growth, planning & control
5. Cashflow management, including managing foreign currency exposure, bank reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting
6. Compilation & presentation of monthly management report pack to Directors
7. Month-end – accrual & prepayments, wages journals & other associated tasks
8. Budget setting with departmental heads & monthly/quarterly variance reporting
9. Working capital cycle reporting and management
10. Liaising with key stakeholders/finance provider
Required Skills and Experience
1. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills
2. Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced finance team
3. Strong interpersonal, influencing and presentational skills
4. Good project management skills and an ability to generate new ideas and be innovative
