An opportunity has become available to join the Clinical Hub Leadership team. We are seeking Team Leaders for the new Advanced Practitioner – Urgent and Emergency Care (AP-UEC) team. This role will provide an opportunity to support, lead and developthis cohort.
We are looking for highly motivated established clinicians with proven leadership across Clinical skills. You will provide Clinical Leadership f our AP-UEC team working Hub and Operations.

Main duties of the job
Applicants should be experienced in all telephone triage and assessment functions and also be able to provide professional and clinical expertise in relation to service improvement, innovation, and future demand management. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of detailed evaluation, information, and option appraisals in response to both local & national strategic agendas for Urgent and Emergency Care.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Experience / Skills / Competencies
Essential criteria
1. Significant post-registration experience in a substantive pre-hospital, Emergency Department or Primary Care role with evidence of credible experience to the role specification.
2. Expert knowledge of pre-hospital care & urgent care systems with the ability to demonstrate credibility.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Evidence of leadership ability.
5. Evidence of relevant CPD.
6. Evidence of Teaching / Training Staff.
7. Appreciation of national standards and national policy in relation to Ambulance Services.
8. Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with other health professionals across a variety of settings and environments.
10. Understanding of the commissioning process leading to service development within the NHS.
11. Experience of research & audit in practice.
12. Experience of working within an NHS Ambulance Emergency Operations Centre or Contact Centre environment.
13. Experience of working in a telephone triage role.
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
14. Registered Paramedic with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (UK).
15. DipHE/FDg in Nursing (Nurse applicants).
16. DipHE/FDg in Paramedic Sciences or equivalent healthcare qualification (Paramedic applicants).
17. BSc in Nursing or Paramedic Sciences or other relevant healthcare qualification (or working towards).
18. MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice( or working towards).
