Field Service Engineer – Medical Imaging Systems, Carlisle-based (within 1 hour) | Covering Scotland & Northern England. Looking for a hands-on engineering role with real impact? This is your chance to join a respected leader in medical X-ray imaging, supporting life-saving equipment in hospitals.
Whether you're an experienced Field Service Engineer, a Military Engineer (REME, RAF, Royal Navy etc.), or a Medical Engineer/ EBME Engineer / Clinical Engineer looking for a new challenge — we want to hear from you.
You’ll install, maintain, and repair advanced diagnostic imaging systems, with full training provided on the latest technology.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Install, service, and repair X-ray and digital imaging systems (own-brand & 3rd-party).
* Deliver first-class technical support to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare teams.
* Work closely with product specialists, service managers, and engineering experts.
* Maintain accurate service records and manage spare parts inventory.
* Ensure high first-time fix rates, minimal downtime, and excellent customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with sales teams to identify upgrades and service opportunities.
* Electrically/electronically-biased maintenance and repair engineers e.g. Field Service Engineers, Ex-Forces Engineers – REME, Royal Navy, RAF, Army, etc., Medical Engineers – EBME / Clinical Technologists / Imaging Support.
* Good diagnostic skills and confidence with software upgrades/installations.
* Able to work independently in hospitals and clinical environments.
* Customer-focused, well-organised, and a strong communicator.
Full Training & Long-Term Support
Whether you're new to medical or already in healthcare tech, you’ll receive structured OEM training, ongoing technical development, and opportunities to grow with the company.
* Mon–Fri, 43.5 hours/week including travel
* Travel within region, minimal overnight stays (typically once every few months)
You must live within 1 hour of Carlisle to ensure regional coverage across Northern England and Scotland.
