Position: Resident Doctor – Oncology (Outpatients & Ward)
Location: Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital (part of HCA Healthcare UK)
Contract: Permanent, Part‑Time (24 hours per week)
Salary: £65,000 - £73,092 (DOE) with opportunities for additional paid bank shifts.

Duties
As part of our team of Resident Doctors, this position focuses on general wards and day‑case areas, working in partnership with highly specialist nurses and acting on consultant‑led decisions. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:
* Pre‑ and post‑operative treatments and clinical assessments.
* Participating in ward rounds and clerking admissions.
* Reviewing discharges and assessing referrals.
While we are a consultant‑led service, we believe in empowering our resident doctors, so your role could expand as much as you wish. You’ll have the chance to be involved in audits, projects and quality improvement initiatives alongside the opportunity to join a variety of internal networks and community focus groups, clinical governance or MDT meetings.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and completion of Foundation training.
* Minimum training level: ST2/IMT2 (or equivalent experience).
* At least 2 years of oncology experience.
* Ideally, post‑qualification exams such as MRCP.
* A passion for patient‑centred care and collaborative teamwork.
