Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Westhill, where the Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, focusing on patient care and high-quality imaging and reports. Responsibilities include:
1. Maintain ultrasound equipment
2. Undertaking routine quality assurance checks and arranging planned or emergency maintenance schedules for the ultrasound machine(s)
3. Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and respond to queries as required
4. Undertake independent ultrasound examinations and reporting
5. Deal sensitively with patients, before, during and after their scan.
6. Maintain patient records, update administrative records, and add relevant medical notes relating to the ultrasound procedure, including PACS and RIS systems
