Role overview
Structured Credit Investor is seeking a professional, motivated, and commercially curious Sales Development Representative to join its New Business team.
This role focuses on building relationships with prospective clients and introducing them to SCI’s platform, insights, and data. You will engage senior professionals across global structured finance, hold initial discovery conversations, and arrange introductory meetings for the wider sales team.
The role suits someone who communicates with confidence, enjoys speaking with people, and is looking to develop a long-term career in a sophisticated B2B sales environment.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting and outreach
* Engage potential clients through telephone outreach, email, and LinkedIn
* Research organisations and individuals to support informed and relevant conversations
* Introduce SCI’s offering in a clear, professional, and consultative manner
Lead qualification
* Hold initial discovery conversations to understand prospective client needs
* Assess suitability for further discussions with the New Business team
* Maintain accurate and well-structured activity records within HubSpot
Meeting coordination
* Arrange introductory calls and platform demonstrations for Business Development Managers
* Ensure smooth handover of qualified prospects with clear context and background
Collaboration and development
* Work closely with the New Business team to refine outreach approaches
* Participate in ongoing coaching and development sessions
* Stay informed on market themes and trends across structured finance
Preferred skills and experience
* 1+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing outreach role
* Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with senior stakeholders
* Professional and personable manner with the ability to build rapport quickly
* Willingness to learn, take feedback, and refine communication techniques
* Strong organisation and time-management skills (HubSpot experience is an advantage)
* Comfortable working toward goals and activity expectations
