We are now looking for a Transport Clerk to join us at our Findern site, on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The Role As a Transport Clerk, you will be responsible for co-ordinating deliveries and liaising with drivers to ensure smooth and efficient transport operations. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, managing order processing with a focus on delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and clients. Your role will be essential in maintaining a seamless and professional transport service that meets the highest standards. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes. You will need to be adaptable, as you may be required to take on different shift patterns to cover for absences due to illness and holidays, to meet the business's needs. Additionally, you will: Ensure effective communication within the business and with customers Identify and recommend resolutions to customer issues or failures Communicate any variances to instructions or operational concerns to your line manager Ensure adherence to Health and Safety procedures, including PPE compliance About You To be considered as a Transport Clerk, you will need: Previous experience in a similar role Knowledge of Working Time Regulations and Drivers’ hours legislation The proven ability to interface with customers professionally Confidence in supervising drivers Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficiency in IT, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
