We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100.
This exciting new role as an Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner would suit a qualified Paramedic, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations.
The site currently offers variety of shifts patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends / bank holidays.
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 41,265 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As our new Paramedic / Emergency and Urgent Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
6. Youll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care
7. Working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the wings/ blocks.
8. Thrives on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting
9. Performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, haemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.

Our new Emergency & Urgent Care Practitioner Will:
17. Be a Qualified Paramedic with HCPC Registration
18. Proven Experience in either: Accident and Emergency, primary care environments or minor injuries/illness
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Non-judgmental and compassionate approach
21. Be flexible with shifts and hours worked
22. Ideally, have experience within a hospital, community or prison environment
