Main duties of the job
Post holder will have previous experience of working in the provision of excellent customer care. To have worked as an Administrator within a demanding NHS team, with excellent secretarial/administrative skills including minute taking, and electronic record keeping.
Successful candidates must have the ability to accurately input activity data onto the electronic patient record database.
Communicate effectively with a range of people, either in person or on the telephone, promptly and in a professional and courteous manner whilst recognizing barriers to communication. Ensure that complex calls from anxious and distressed clients/cares are passed to the appropriate person to deal with effectively and appropriately or escalate to senior staff members if appropriate
Respond to enquiries, and take appropriate action on behalf of the service, either by telephone, personal contacts or correspondence within the time agreed.
You will have the ability to assist the team by liaising with other departments or agencies for all aspects of the service users experience with the service & will also act as a point of contact for service.
This role will also involve processing referrals, booking appointments, interpreters, ensuring patient confidentiality is always maintained.
Ability to use IT systems and databases & be able to demonstrate an understanding of quality control processes within the area of work and ensure workload is managed and prioritized appropriately.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
NELFT place great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 pro rata for part time).
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 pro rata for part time).
