Description
Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Monitor cash flow and manage company investments.
Prepare the Monthly Management Accounts Pack
Prepare and post revenue journal entries in accordance with established accounting standards and company policies.
Maintain and reconcile control accounts (e.g, revenue, cash, credit cards etc.,).
Conduct a range of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Liaise with other departments to ensure financial data integrity and resolve any inconsistencies.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.
Comply with internal controls and financial policies
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting standards.
Experience preparing journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
Understanding of control accounts and their role in financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
