A well-established and welcoming primary school in Worksop is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join their Reception class on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years Teacher who is committed to supporting young children’s learning and development within a nurturing and engaging EYFS environment.
The successful Early Years Teacher will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching in Reception, ensuring pupils are supported in developing the skills, confidence and curiosity needed for their early education.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured, engaging and creative lessons as an Early Years Teacher, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Work within the school’s long-term planning framework, ensuring lessons are purposeful and support children’s development across all areas of learning.
*
As an Early Years Teacher, create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence and positive early learning experiences.
*
Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using this information to inform future planning and next steps in learning.
*
Collaborate closely with the EYFS team, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the SENDCo to ensure high-quality provision for all pupils.
*
As an Early Years Teacher, contribute to a positive and supportive school culture that prioritises safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion.

Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support children’s development and transition into school life.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*
Have experience working as an Early Years Teacher, particularly within a Reception setting.
*
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
*
Be organised, proactive and confident in planning engaging learning experiences as an Early Years Teacher.

Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and leadership staff.
*
Have excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing, child-centred approach expected of an Early Years Teacher.
