What is the role?
The Category Manager will support the delivery of a category strategy, driving value through being a trusted commercial advisor who supports and challenges stakeholders' requirements. They will provide procurement support and guidance ensuring adherence to procurement governance and procedures.
What will you do?
* Own Procurement Strategy for assigned categories, aligning commercial review and strategic opportunities to business priority.
* Provide clear sourcing strategies for BAU commodities to support internal stakeholders and simplify the P2P process.
* Lead project work, with support of the category managers
* Providing advice and professional procurement support to internal stakeholders.
* Lead for completion of commercial and contractual requirements Running the end-to-end procurement cycle for categories Ensure contracting remains up to date with business requirements, including inclusion of ESG and DEI values
* Shared responsibility for maintaining the SAP supplier database.
Do you have what we're looking for?
* CIPS or willingness to study desirable (equivalent experience will be considered)
* Proven procurement experience as a category manager within a large company, in a highly regulated environment.
* Good understanding of strategic procurement with ability to work with and develop category strategies.
* Proven track record for leading complex RFI/P, procurement activities whilst delivering value.
* Good communicator with strong written and presentation skills
* Thrives in fast pace, challenging and changing environment.
