Job Description
Major Talent is looking for Assembly Technicians to join a rapidly growing audio-visual company based in St Albans. You will work alongside other technicians to assemble equipment according to design specifications, prepare shipments for delivery, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the workshop.
As an Assembly Technician, you will:
1. Undertake assembly activities on time, according to specifications, and within allocated hours.
2. Assemble equipment following product design and new product specifications.
3. Identify and resolve problems or faults, suggesting solutions to Project Engineers and Managers.
4. Prepare and pack equipment and paperwork for shipment.
5. Drive vans for timely deliveries and collections.
6. Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies.
7. Organise the workshop, manage stock control, and maintain stock records.
8. Proactively suggest methods to improve efficiency.
9. Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
To be successful, you should have:
1. Experience in manufacturing or production is highly desirable.
2. Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
3. NVQ Level 3 or above in a technical subject such as engineering or mechanical manufacturing is highly desirable.
4. A full clean driving license.
5. Understanding of health and safety practices.
6. Van or forklift driving experience is preferable.
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
