Job Description
Events assistant required for a corporate staff summer party held at the Five Bells Community Pub, Clyst Hydon on Saturday 7th June. This will be to assist the overall event manager from Green Sense Events who is organising and managing the event.
The event will run from 1pm through until midnight and you will be required to be onsite from 12noon until 10pm.
The role will include checking areas are set up ready for guests arriving, liaising with suppliers and entertainment on site. overseeing the outdoor pool that guests have access to making sure people sign in to allow them access to the pool and leaving their drinks on a table by the entrance into the pool area.
Supporting with guest check in.
In the evening you will be checking areas of the site are clean, clearing away plates and glasses, supporting guests with any queries, keeping an eye out for any first aid incidents that need attention and keeping in contact throughout with the event manager via radio/ phone.
We are looking for someone with good customer experience and hospitality skills, someone who is willing to turn their hand to a variety of tasks as required on the day. Experience of using a radio would be useful but not essential as a full briefing will be given.
Regular breaks will be given throughout the afternoon, food and drinks are available at the event for staff as well as guests.
Green Sense Events organise sustainable events for corporate clients. With a focus on reducing our impact on the environment this includes working with local suppliers, managing waste correctly, using seasonal local ingredients where possible and measuring the carbon footprint of the event.
