We are located in the Infrastructure OU based in Bedfordshire and are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide. We are looking for a Commercial Manager – Highways to perform commercial management and specialist commercial duties as part of a project team.
Key responsibilities
* Ensure the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the project are implemented.
* Lead and develop the contract procedures, payments and variations together with contact entitlements.
* Fully administrate head contract so Skanska can obtain all of their entitlements and limit contractual risk.
* Ensure the cost plan/estimate and base data is received and integrated into commercial forecasting and reporting procedures.
* Lead and develop the strategy for the contracted works and the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
Qualifications and experience
* Detailed working knowledge of contract/commercial law.
* Previous experience at Commercial Manager level.
* Experience of working in a commercial capacity within senior management teams.
* MRICS / MCInstCES qualified (highly desirable) or degree educated in a relevant subject.
* Previous experience working on major infrastructure contracts desirable.
* NEC Contract Experience – specifically NEC 4 Option C Target Cost.
