The HR Advisor will provide expert HR support and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring the consistent application of company policies, best practice, and employment law. This role will support in the delivery of a professional and comprehensive HR service to the Corporate Centre colleagues, ensuring adherence to company HR policies and procedures, legal compliance, and best practice. The role involves providing day-to-day support on a diverse range of generalist HR tasks, including employee relations, lifecycle administration, payroll submissions, absence management, recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, and training and development. This role offers the opportunity to work in a friendly, busy environment where you will manage a variety of people-related matters and employee relations cases from start to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
2. General colleague lifecycle admin, such as offer letters and promotions.
3. Maintain accurate employee records on our HR system, Workday.
4. Support the development and rollout of HR policies and procedures.
5. Deliver or coordinate training to enhance employee capability and engagement.
6. Promote and support employee engagement initiatives across the division.
7. Stay up to date with employment law and HR best practice to ensure compliance.
8. Provide guidance on compensation and benefits administration.
9. Proactively monitor attendance levels via our Policy trigger points, analyse trends and patterns, and put measures in place to support managers in managing any absence issues.
10. Provide an advisory service to managers and team leaders in employee relations issues.
11. Work with managers on performance management and performance improvement plans.
12. Supporting cyclical HR activities such as performance calibration and annual pay review.
13. Review and update departmental documents, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to all legislation and policies.
14. Inputting into Workday and liaising with Payroll to ensure information impacting salaries, wages, allowances, and other payments are processed accurately.
15. Support starters and leavers processes, including onboarding and induction, and exit interviews.
Requirements:
Required:
16. 1-2 years' experience in a similar HR advisory role.
17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
18. Strong organisational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
19. Working knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
20. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
21. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of HR principles and their application, including experience in coaching and mentoring.
22. Experience managing ER cases within a professional environment.

24. HR qualification (or working towards CIPD) desirable.
25. CIPD qualification (Level 5) or equivalent relevant experience.
26. Proficiency in Google suite (docs, slides, sheets).
